Customer Rating: Summary: This is Great! Comment: Thank you! Finally something I can workout with. I love this game. I've been using it for a week now and I love it! Much better than Wii fit.
5 Stars all the way!
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Yet Comment: This is an outstanding fitness program. You essentially design your own as you reply to questions after different segments....your answer affects the design of your program. You choose your environment, emphasis area, coaching technique, music, etc. It adapts to the equipment you have on hand and your fitness level. You choose the amount of time you wish to spend on it. Of course, the program has suggestions based on the weight, height, body measurements you have programed in. You can follow its suggestions or not. What more would want from an exercise program?
Customer Rating: Summary: Not my cup of tea... Comment: I'm not very impressed. This game doesn't use any of the fun aspects of wii. Yes, it's an ok workout, but I feel like I am just watching a DVD. Other then asking you if you worked hard during the last set, there is no other interaction.
I would skip it and wait for something better to come out. Wii has to update the wii fit eventually, right?
Customer Rating: Summary: Beginning and Out of Shape user review Comment: I just purchased this game yesterday with my Wii Fit. I have gone through my initial setup phase and 1st workout. First, I want to clarify that this game doesn't use the Wii Fit board. Second, this is not at all like the My Weight Loss Coach for the DS.
This game is just for fitness. It walks you through an analysis to get where you are at in your fitness. It then helps you set up your goals and create a workout custom for you. The analysis covers getting your resting heart rate and then doing jumping jacks for 2 minutes to get your elevated heart rate. It also has you doing squats, push ups and crunches. For someone who is out of shape it is really an eye opening experience, especially, if you are not able to do the full activity. It does allow you to stop and tell it how many you are able to do even on the jumping jacks.
My 1st workout was repetitive and only 15 minutes. I have to admit that I was impressed that I was able to get through the 1st workout and did not feel overwhelmed. I have tried other fitness routines where you do not want to come back the second day because it kicked your bootie the first day. I also liked that it asked you how you were doing throughout the workout. It says it will change your workout according to the way you answer.
It also gives you a timeline on each section of the workout and what is coming up next. Much easier then trying to follow an aerobic video that springs a different move on you while you are not prepared. Another benefit is that is asks what kind of equipment you already have. I finally get to blow the dust off of the hand dumbbells that I purchased for a previous workout program.
The only thing I wish it had that it incorporates some of the nutrition and food diary information that the Weight Loss Coach provides. It would be nice if UBI Soft set it up where you can keep your info in one place.
So far I think it is good software to have. Even for a couch potato. Just don't let the initial analysis scare you.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great way to start a new routine Comment: I got this "game" to start up a new exercise routine after not working out for ages. I love it! Although it doesn't offer the kind of high interactivity offered by Wii Fit (no games to play with others, no balance board), it lets you set up a profile, estimates your fitness level, and builds a program with workouts tailored to your needs and ability. Updates allow you to track your progress and open "rewards" like new music or workout venues over time. "Maya" is encouraging and not at all annoying. She also asks for feedback on the difficulty of your workouts to make them easier or harder depending on how you rate them. I highly recommend!
