Spectral Force 3 delivers challenging strategy RPG gameplay, a classic fantasy story, and tons of character and item customization options. The ten kingdoms of the land, seizing the opportunity provided by Overlord Janus's death, are attempting to unify the continent under their own banners. This is the beginning of the Great Neverland War. In order to bolster their defenses, kingdoms have begun hiring mercenary units. As new members of the Norius Mercenaries, you and your friend Diaz are eager to prove yourselves. When the squad's commander Judo is mortally wounded in battle, the mantle of leadership is entrusted to you, and so the adventure begins.

Summary: freezing bugs -- buyer beware
Comment: I was enjoying this game quite a bit since I like turn-based combat games. After about 12 hours in, the game froze during a cutscene. So I googled and there's many posts about the issue, and there's no patch or fix. You can hit the start button to bypass cutscenes but that doesnt guarantee that the cutscene wont freeze. So I played some more and the game froze again in the same way. My 360 plays everything else without a hitch and the disk is scratch free. So, just be aware before you buy there's a very annoying freezing bug. Since you cant save before a cutscene and some of the more important battles last 30 minutes or more, this was a deal-breaker for me and the game went in the "sell back used" pile.

Comment: The game has a fairly steep learning curve, and can be pretty difficult at times. However I am a big fan of strategy RPG's, and this game does deliver on that front. Not a great game, but not a total letdown either. The price has dropped for this game since I ordered it, and I feel it is probably worth the $19.95 they are asking for it now if you like strategy RPG's.

Comment: THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!! YOU GET TO TAKE A GROUP OF GUYS AND DO STUFF!!! YOU GET TO MOVE AROUND AND THINGS LIKE THAT AND KILL STUFF!!! YOU CAN EVEN OPEN STUFF TO GET STUFF AND IT PLAYS MUSIC AND SHOWS YOU PICTURES AND STUFF THAT EVEN TALK!!! BETWEEN BATTLES STUFF TALKS ALSO!!! THIS GAME IS COOL BECAUSE OF ALL THE STUFF YOU GET TO DO!!! IF YOU LIKE DOING STUFF IN GAMES, THEN THIS GAME IS FOR YOU!!! GO BUY IT AND START DOING STUFF TODAY!!!

THERE'S A GOOD RPG HERE, BUT IT'S BURIED SO FAR UNDER BROKEN FUNDAMENTAL MECHANICS
THAT ONLY A HARDCORE RPG'ER OR ATLUS FAN NEED BOTHER.
