Editorial Reviews:

"Immersive sound" is an audio advance that changes the listening experience. Music no longer seems to come through a speaker, but from an extended soundstage. Altec Lansing's proprietary SFX signal-processing immersion technology audibly widens the soundstage to a startling degree. Tuck it under your flat-screen monitor for a new audio experience - and enjoy a refreshingly open desktop, improved wire management and simplified speaker connections to your PC and iPod or CD player.

Customer Rating: Summary: Not for an audiophile but good enough for me Comment: Pros
Fits perfectly under monitor.
Only two cords - power and PC connect.
Easily hook up my iPod to side.
Nice button on front for on/off and volume control.
Button has a cool blue light above it.
Price is fair.
Cons
Not the best sound - all the speakers are close together in this one unit so that is to be expected.
Over all - I would purchase again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Tin Can and String Sound Better Comment: I was really excited to replace my old CA 2.1 system that literally buzzed when there was no audio playing...and now it sounds like a bose system compared to this sound bar. It seriously sounds like my old transistor radio playing AM radio back in the 70s. I would not, could not, and will not recommend this system to even my worst enemies...please, run...don't walk...to something else.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Speaker but very Poor Sound Comment: Little better sound Quality then taking 2-Tin cans and a piece of wire. I payed $30.00 for on E-bay thought I was getting a deal but after I hooked up speaker to my Computer and heard sound coming out of Speaker I knew I had been had. Not worth $30.00 that I payed and definitely not worth $60.00. Very poor Sound...Even the blue light that comes on is so dim that you really can't see if speaker is on or off. Don't waste your money on this speaker...Looks nice but you will really be disappointed in the Sound. This speaker should sell for $12.95 at the most
Customer Rating: Summary: Not worth the $$ Comment: I got a good deal on the sound bar and I still regret the purchase. It doesn't sound bad, but it is certainly not worth the exorbitant price. It really doesn't save that much space, which is the only reason anyone should purchase it. Go with a 3 piece speaker system with subwoofer and you will get far superior sound quality. Not sure why this is rated so high. It's a bit of a rip off.
Customer Rating: Summary: Well made speakers that do not dissapoint Comment: These speaker work great for what I need them for. Being a student in a college dorm room they are perfect for me. They project more than enough sound. The bass is a little weaker than I am used to, but I spoil myself with subwoofers. The few wires needed is a great big plus. I would not buy this to replace a good 2.1 setup, but it is a great setup if you need speakers. A soundbar just cannot replace tru surround sound. In short, great product, but no better than surround sound unless you only want two wires(one for power and one for sound).
