Summary: Best Portable System EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment: I have this system and it only cost $20.00 but I can tell from the picture that mine came with a different controller with smaller A B C X Y Z buttons and they are black. I can't get it hooked up to my Video center because thos spots are filled with my Gamecube, Gamecube Accessories, N64, and I had to make my PS2 stand up on the side, next to my TV. There is no point anyway because I only have 4 GREAT games to it. They are Road Rash 2, Sonic the hedgehog 1, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and, the Sonic and Knuckles expansion(which it's also it's own game).

Summary: The Greatest System EVAR!
Comment: The Genesis 1 & 2, are, IMO, truly the greatest systems ever. The compatibility with the Sega CD, Sega 32x, and Power Base Converter make it all the more better. I also reccomend the Genesis 3 Core System, with the exception of a few negatives:First of all, there are no new games coming out for it. I understand why, though: The Playstation was coming out and whipped it's [butt] in sales, the 32x was a flop and Sega was concentrating on the Saturn. So, this is no big deal, especially considering the fact that there are over 700 games anyways.
Second, I'm going to admit it, the graphics are nothing compared to today's games. But y'know what? That really doesn't matter. Because so many people forget the fact that gameplay is what makes a game fun, not the graphics. The best graphics you're gonna get in this system are about equal to early Sony Playstation games. These games are: Virtua Fighting/Racing, Sonic 3D, Vectorman 1 & 2, and the 32x games (36, approximately). Several are 2D, so if you're a gamer who only likes graphics, then frig off if you don't like it.

Comment: If you buy a sega genesis 2 or 3 system, will you be able to play the games from the original sega genesis system? Thanks! i'm 15 and i LOVED playing sonic on it!
